After the huge success of Junior MasterChef in Australia and United Kingdom, ABS-CBN partners with Shine Australia, to bring the show here in the Philippines. Tagged as Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition here in the Philippines, this reality cooking show for kids will challenge every child in their creativity and talent in cooking. Hosted by the multi-awarded actress, mother and first time host Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo. The show will kick off with a primer on August 20 on the primetime slot of ABS-CBN followed by 5-6 more weekly show until they move to daily that will last for 13 weeks.
Joining Judai where three of the most talented chefs here in the Philippines namely chefs Fernando “Ferns” Aracama, Rolando “Lau” Laudico, and JP “Jayps” Anglo. From 60 kids who passed from the initial auditions will be divided into three groups of 20 and from there Top 20 aspirants will emerge and compete one other to win 1 Million Pesos, culinary scholarship and the title as the first Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition.
According to Judai, she is an avid follower of the show and she fell in love with it that’s why she automatically say yes when the hosting role was offered to her. She will be playing also the role as a mother of the kids in the show where she will help them in their journey towards the end of the competition by nurturing them and guiding them along with the three chefs. The children will undergo series of cooking activities using different ingredients, developing their skills in cooking preparation, taste and plating.
The show is now included on the franchised reality show bought by ABS-CBN like Pinoy Big Brother, Pinoy Fear Factor, Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition, and Pinoy Dream Academy.
