Reigning UFC Heavyweight Champion of the World Brock Lesnar returns to the Octagon to face undefeated contender Cain Velasquez in UFC 121: Lesnar vs Velasquez on October 24, Sunday 10:30 a.m. on Balls channel SkyCable 34. Replay broadcast will be held same day at 11:30 p.m. on Studio 23.
Undefeated Velasquez (8-0), who now vies for his first ever belt, won against former Interim Heavyweight Champion Antonio Nogueira via knockout last February 21 in UFC 110. He is also ranked 4th in the heavyweight category on mixed martial arts (MMA) websites Sherdog and MMA Weekly. Can Velasquez become the first-ever mexican champion in the UFC?
The 33-year-old Lesnar, dubbed the “baddest man on the planet”, will try to defend his Heavyweight title for the second time this year. He recently conquered Shane Carwin in UFC 116 last July. Will he remain the undisputed champion?
Making his UFC debut is the much-touted welterweight sensation Jake Shields who will go up against UFC Octagon veteran Martin “The Hitman” Kampmann. Diego “Nightmare” Sanchez (23-4) and Paulo Thiago (13-2) round out this blockbuster card in Anaheim, California.
