>In line with the growing demand of online consumers for faster and more efficient mobile internet service, Globe Telecom proudly the roll out of their 4G mobile technology here in the Philippines. They conducted live speed test demonstration of its 4G mobile technology using the global standard HSPA+ or Evolved High-Speed Packet Access as part of their initial phase of the service. As of now it is available in 19 sites including Marikina, Quezon City, Makati, Pasay, Las Pinas, Taguig and the City of Manila.
During their live demo, Globe Telecom used their 4G HSPA+-powered broadband dongle and four other dongles; a regular Globe Tattoo stick (2G), a Globe SuperStick (3G) and its two competitor brands. Globe 4G HSPA+ registered a 8.55Mbps download speed and 1.02Mbps upload speed. While Globe’s 2G and 3G powered sticks showed improvement during the demo after using it in a 4G powered site, showing a better download and upload speed. The demo showed that the 4G HSPA+ of Globe Telecom faster and reliable compare with other broadband sticks used on the speed test.
Globe Portfolio Management Head Joanna officially announced that the 4G Mobile Technology of Globe will be available soon to cater 4G capable mobile devices including the Samsung Galaxy S2. Mobile users can now enjoy faster mobile internet surfing which includes, uploading and downloading data and video streaming.
