Last March 18, Avida Tower Centera located at Reliance street in Mandaluyong City conducted a 3D Street Painting Festival with a theme “Fast-forward: Life at the Center of the Metropolis”. The said competition was open to all students and artist and can do a 3D artwork in a span less than 24 hours. Before they can join they need to submit their designs for approval and almost 20 groups joined the contest.
With the criteria of 45% Artistry, 35% Relevance to the theme and 20% Over-all impact, winning group received P75, 000 for the champion plus a special glass trophy, while second and third received P50,000 and P30, 000 respectively plus a trophy. The winners of the competition were:
First Place: Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP)’s Guhit Sudlungan – Greater Access to Convergence
Second Place: Style Concept (StyCon)- Connected and Green
Third Place: Fine Arts students from the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman’s 4:20 – Metropolis Mania
