“Hello, Love, Again,” the hit film starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, has broken another box-office record, earning an unprecedented P131 million in a single day last Saturday (Nov. 16). As of Monday (Nov. 18), the film has grossed an impressive P566 million.
“We’re so blessed because people gave our movie a chance and we’re grateful for everything we’re receiving. We couldn’t ask for more,” said Kathryn.
“Thank you so much for the love and support you’ve shown us and the film. No words can express how grateful we are for the amazing turnout, and we’re so happy that so many people have appreciated it,” Alden added.
A portion of the film’s proceeds will be donated to the victims of Typhoon Pepito. Meanwhile, Kathryn and Alden will attend the Asian World Film Festival, where Hello, Love, Again will be the closing film.
The record-breaking movie also achieved the biggest opening day grossing P85 million.
The first collaboration between ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema and GMA Pictures debuted at No. 8 in the US box office, grossing $2.4 million and setting a new record as the highest opening for a Filipino film in America.
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, this romantic drama is now playing in over 1,000 cinemas worldwide, including in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Guam, and Saipan. It will also premiere in Singapore, Malaysia, the Middle East, Cambodia, Hong Kong, and Macau later this month.
