>July 24 – a 6.9 magnitude earthquake wakes Cotabato City and nearby cities in Mindanao around 6:08am and according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Philvolcs) Director Renato Solidum Jr that the earthquake will not result any tsunami.
While bases on measurement given by the US Geological Survey the earthquake that hits Cotabato City was 7.3 magnitude.
