It is official! Another OPM icon will be joining the Tawag ng Tanghalan family and he is the award winning singer and songwriter Ogie Alcasid. In the KantangHalian segment of It’s Showtime, Ogie was announced to be the latest addition in the growing family of hurados together with Rey Valera, Louie Ocampo, Jaya, Kyla, Nyoy Volante, Erik Santos, Karla Estrada, K Brosas, Mitoy Yonting, Billy Crawford, and Karylle.
Because it is KantangHalian, Ogie performed some of his hit songs together with Vice Ganda. In the quick interview of Anne Curtis on how he will select the winners of Tawag ng Tanghalan, Ogie said that he will be mixing technicalities and the way how the contenders deliver the song. At the same time, Ogie promises that he will be sharing tips to the contestants on how they will improve in their performance.
Aside from Tawag ng Tanghalan, Ogie will also be a jury member in the Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids Edition with Sharon Cuneta and Gary Valenciano.
