Popularly known as Professor Severus Snape in Harry Potter, actor and director Alan Rickman dies at the age of 69 because of cancer. The actor died last January 14.
Aside from Harry Potter, Alan appeared in A Little Chaos, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, Love Actually, Galaxy Quest, Dogma and many more. His last project will be Alice Through the Looking Glass where he will be the voice of Absolem the Caterpillar.
Alan was married to Rima Horton where he was only 18 years old. She was Alan’s first girlfriend and eventually became his wife until he died. Aside from being a director and actor, he was an active patron of the research foundation Saving Faces and honorary president of the International Performers’ Aid Trust, a charity that works to fight poverty amongst performing artists all over the world.
