From the breathtaking blind audition to the intense battle, knockout and live show Leah Patricio of Team Lea Salonga, Rence Rapanot of Team Bamboo, Jason James Dy of Team Sarah Geronimo and Alisah Bonaobra of Team Apl.de.Ap are the Final 4 of The Voice of the Philippines Season 2. They will have a grand showdown that will happen on February 28 and March 1 at the Newport Performance Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila for the Grand Finals.
Meanwhile during the live semi-finals that happened on February 21 and 22 on the same venue the votes were opened twice during the performances of each team. During the solo performances of the contestants for Team Sarah, Monique Luhalhati performed Fighter while Jason James Dy performed Back At One. For Team Apl, Alisah Bonaobra performed Lipad ng Pangarap while Daryl Ong performed Take Me Out of the Dark. For Team Bamboo, Rence Rapanot performed Ikaw At Ako while Rita Martinez performed Himala. Lastly, from Team Lea, Timmy Pavino performed Ikaw Lamang and Leah Patricio with Ikaw Lamang Ang Mamahalin.
In the day 2 of live semi-finals, Alisah and Daryl performed One Sweet Day from Team Apl, Rita and Rence with Mahirap Magmahal ng Shota ng Iba for Team Bamboo, Jason and Monique performed Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now for Team Sarah and finally for Team Lea, Timmy and Leah performed Locked Out of Heaven.
The voting mechanics in the semi-finals gives the viewers the 50% of the total average of votes that includes text and online votes whereas the remaining 50% will come from their coaches.
For his team Apl gave Alisah 55% while Daryl with 45%. Bamboo gave 55% for Rence and 45% for Rita. Sarah gave Jason 55% and Monique with 45% and finally for Team Lea, she gave 55% to Leah and Timmy with 45%. The votes of the coaches are only 50% of the total vote. For the public votes were combined with the coaches whereas for Team Apl with 50.07% Alisah won over Daryl, for Team Bamboo Rence got 56.32% of votes over Rita, for Team Sarah with 60.01% Jason is moving to the finals instead of Monique and finally for Team Lea its Leah with 50.29% to guarantee her slot to the finals over Timmy.
