Late afternoon of February 15, actress Heart Evangelista and Senator Chiz Escudero officially tie knots in the Balesin Island Club, a for-members-only private resort located in Polillo Island in the Province of Quezon. The couple exchanges their vows in a makeshift altar filled with white wisteria and climbing vines. Instead at the newly constructed Royal Villa of Balesin, Heart and Chiz decided to have their wedding ceremony at the Balesin Spa.
The ceremony was presided by Bishop Arturo Vasquez from Sorsogon the hometown of Chiz and concelebrated by Fr. Jerry Orbos and Fr. Roger Joseph Erestain.
Principal sponsors include GMA Network Chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon, President and COO Gilberto Duavit Jr. and former Congressman Gilberto Duavit Sr. Other sponsors include GMA 7’s Mel Tiangco, Viva Entertainment head Vic Del Rosario, Susan Roces, Eddie Garcia, and Jackie Lou Blanco.
Bridesmaid includes Carla Abellana, Jennylyn Mercado, Solenn Heusaff, Sarah Christophers, Lovi Poe, and Alessadra de Rossi. Meanwhile President Benigno Aquino III supposedly the best man of Chiz but the groom advised him to skip the wedding instead he will join them in the reception in Manila that will happen on February 18.
