Last October 28 at the Manila Peninsula in Makati, President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III at the 13th CEO Forum of the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines (SEIPI) officially ended all the speculations on the possibility that he will run again for president on 2016 election. President Aquino said that he has no plan for a second term instead he wanted to focus on the remaining year that he has on his term to find solutions to the problem especially the electric crisis that the country will be facing on 2015. At the same time he said that in regards for the sustainable growth on 2016 he will be voting for the right candidate.
“Even, there are some quarters that are saying I should try and going for a second term. I don’t think that’s the right solution.” President Aquino said.
He also encourage the participant s of the forum to discern properly as to whom is extolling populist sentiments with no substance instead find the right person who not only say the right thing but you can put trust to that person that he or she can deliver.
As for the candidate, names like Mar Roxas, Grace Poe and Jejomar Binay are the popular names for the position but up to this date President Aquino hasn’t named the person whom he will be supporting or the possible torch bearer of the Liberal Party on the 2016 election.
