Counting down to May 15 for the official release of Godzilla in cinemas nationwide, Warner Bros. Pictures releases more artworks to add to the excitement of the movie goers who awaits for the return of the iconic monster on the big screen. Together with the Legendary Pictures, the latest artworks showcase Godzilla’s monstrous spine and tail.
Godzilla is a kaijo, a Japanese term for strange creature that has its debut in Ishirō Honda’s 1954 film Godzilla. Since then, Godzilla has gone on to become a worldwide pop culture icon starring in 28 films produced by Toho Co., Ltd., where the 2014 film of Warner Bros. Pictures was based. Up to date the iconic monster as various reincarnations in different platforms including video games, novels, comic books, and television series aside from film. Meanwhile the 2014 film was directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston.
