From Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul to Miss World 2013 Megan Young and recently Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago, Angeli Dione Gomez from Cebu now joins the beauty title holders in the Philippines as the Miss Tourism International 2013. Crowned on New Year’s Eve in Putrajaya, Malaysia, Gomez emerged as the winner among the 60 contestants and succeeded a fellow Filipina who won the title last year. She’s the third Filipina to won the title next to Rizzini Alexis Gomez (2012) and Maria Esperanza Manzano (2000).
Joining Miss Tourism International 2013 Angeli Dione Gomez in her victory as the Miss Tourism International 2013 are Miss Thailand Sunidporn Srisuwan (1st Runner Up), Miss Australia Sarah Czarnuch (2nd Runner Up), Miss Dominican Republic Michelle Alexis Torres (3rd Runner Up) and Miss Malaysia Thaarah Ganesan (4th Runner Up). Aside from the title and prestige, Gomez will be bringing home a scholarship worth RM 77,800 or more than Php 1 Million from the Asia Metropolitan University, cash price of RM 10, 000 or more than Php 100K and sets of jewelries.
Meanwhile, for Miss Universe 2013, representative of the Philippines Ariella Arida secured 3rd runner up in the competition.
