After the first day of the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) where all cinemas started their operation as early as 8am on December 25, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that this year’s festival was 23% higher than last year on its opening day. Entries of the 2013 MMFF consist of variety of family-comedy, action, horror and drama. Films included were 10,000 Hours, Boy Golden: The Arturo Porcuna Story, Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy, Kaleidoscope World, Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel, My Little Bossings, Pagpag: Siyam na Buhay, and Pedro Calungsod: Batang Martir.
This year the tandem of Vic Sotto and Kris Aquino together with younger generation of artists Bimby Aquino Yap and Ryzza Mae Dizon secured their position on the top spot for the film My Little Bossings with Php 50.4 million. Then followed by the quadruplet comedy film of Vice Ganda with Maricel Soriano, Joey Marquez, and Ruffa Gutierrez entitled Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy with Php 47.6 million and for the third spot is the third movie tandem of the Teen King and Queen of the Kapamilya Network Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo entitled Pagpag Siyam Na Buhay with Php 23.7 Million. And completing the upper four of this year’s festival is the last movie in the Kimmy Dora series entitled Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel with Eugene Domingo, Sam Milby, Angel Aquino and Ariel Ureta.
Meanwhile in now particular order 10,000 Hours of Robin Padilla, Boy Golden: The Arturo Porcuna Story of ER Ejercito and KC Concepcion, Kaleidoscope World of Sef Cayadona and Pedro Calungsod: Batang Martir of Rocco Nacino follows as contributor to the earning of MMFF. On the first day the 2013 MMFF earned Php 134 million which is higher from last years Php 105 million.
