In line with the on-going efforts of ABS-CBN through Sagip Kapamilya to reach out to the super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) affected families in the Visayas region, the support from all the Filipinos in terms of cash and in-kind donations along with the increasing numbers of volunteers became overwhelming. Up to date from 13 Examiner St, West Triangle in Quezon City, Sagip Kapamilya opened the Pinoy Big Brother Hall near across the ELJCC Building of ABS-CBN beside the Pinoy Big Brother House as a drop off point and later a repacking venue.
And now ABS-CBN announced that the PBB Hall and Sagip Kapamilya Center in Examiner Street will be just a repacking venue for a faster production and will no longer be a drop off point as of 6pm yesterday (November 16). Instead, the Sagip Kapamilya drop off point will now be at the Bayantel Fairview Warehouse, Regalado Street, South Fairview, Quezon City. Aside from the clothes, canned goods and noodles, Sagip Kapamilya mentioned that they are in need of rice and bottled waters that are very essential for the relief goods that they are repacking and aside from that strong bodied men who can carry heavy sacks. And lastly calling for truck and van owners who can lend their vehicles for the transfer of relief goods to the respective delivery area.
