We all love to eat and it is part of our culture as Filipinos. But in regardings with eating sometimes we use our eyes rather than our stomach which sometimes we can hardly finish the food on our plate and it end up on garbage bins most specially vegetables, rice and fruits. With this alarming concern on food wastage, different sectors stood up and showed their support on solving this concern including Healthy Options.
With their campaign called Foodless Plate, they advocate on everyone making sure to have the exact amount of what we cook and the food on our plates that we can easily consume. Through the photo sharing social media platform called Instagram where most netizens post delicious and delectable dishes, the Foodless Plate campaign encourage everyone to share photos of their plates with no left overs with the hashtag #foodlessplate a tagging @HealthyOptionsPH.
I am encouraging everyone to set their account on public mode because every foodless plate posted on Instagram corresponds to the donation of Healthy Options to their partner organization Hands On Manila Foundation, Inc’s EAT TO FEED program that focuses on the street children by giving them food, shelter and most of all the caring they need.
Start posting your photos of your foodless plate now on instagram and don’t forget the hashtag #foodlessplate and tag @HealthyOptionsPH. Join us in advocating moderate consumption to avoid wastage.
