After the successful presentation of Hannibal on AXN last April another suspense thriller that viewers must look forward to every night starting October 16. AXN will be airing the number 1 suspense drama in the US entitled The Blacklist that stars James Spader, a Cannes Film Festival actor who will be playing the role of a former U.S. government agent Raymond “Red” Reddington who is now one of the FBI most wanted fugitive now at large and doing crimes on an international level. But with his plan of surrendering to the FBI, Red offered his service to locate the long-thought-dead terrorist, Ranko Zamani, given the condition that he speaks only to Elizabeth “Liz” Keen (Megan Boone), an FBI profiler fresh out of the bureau’s academy in Quantico. With this situation it burdens FBI agent Donald Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) who tracked Red without success for years, and FBI assistant director Harold Cooper (Harry Lennix), who has no choice but to rely on Liz.
The idea of The Blacklist is like having Hannibal doing an Alias/CSI approach. The idea is having a criminal solving a crime and being with the cops. It might look weird but The Blacklist will surely offer a one of a kind suspense trailer that is worth watching from start to finish.
The Blacklist will have a double premiere on Oct 7 and 8 exclusively on AXN as a treat to all suspense thriller couch potato and will start regular airing starting Oct 16, every Wednesday at 10pm.
