After changing the game play in bakeshop business in the Philippines since they opened their first franchise in Glorietta 4 in Makati City in 2004, BreadTalk continue their passion in offering unique and innovative selections of breads and pastries that fits to the Filipino taste. BreadTalk started in Singapore in 2000 and aside from the Philippines they had their franchise in China, Indonesia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Hong Kong, India, Thailand, South Korea, and Vietnam. In Philippines alone they already had 37 stores nationwide and still growing. Newly opened BrealkTalk Philippines stores are in EDSA Shangri-La Plaza, Evia Lifestyle Center and in SM Aura Primier where it is a partnership with their sister company Toast Box.
Last July 17, the joint BreadTalk and Toast Box store was officially opened to the public offering them a wide range of delicious, unique, and innovative breads that all ages will surely like. There’s the famous Flosss that everyone enjoys from the regular, to cheesy and spicy, there’s the Mr. Beans, and other cake slices and gourmet breads that’s perfect for breakfast or lunch for those who are always on the go. BreadTalk also offers a good pasalubong treats like macaroons, doughnuts, sliced breads, tarts and cakes. And with Toast Box on the side diners will surely enjoy the delicious cold and warm beverages that compliment to the BreadTalk products along with other tasty treats that Toast Box offer.
Aside from the big opening in SM Aura Primier, BreadTalk introduces their Gen 4 Breads including the Berry , Berry Hokkaido that is a perfect bread for children because of the sweet and sour combination of blueberry and cranberry with a chunky bites of walnut inside and glazed with apricot sauce outside. Children will also love the Coco Fuji bread because of the creamy chocolate milk custard cream filling that they will surely love. There’s also the Big Apple bread that is good for warm tea and worth sharing with your loved one because it this bread is good for two and you will surely enjoy the apple-cinnamon and raisin filling with apple slices and icing.
Here’s my personal favorite from the Gen 4 Breads of BreadTalk; being always on the go sometimes I need to take out my meal while on the way to work, on my workplace or on the road that’s why I really enjoyed the Sayang Sardine because of the savory taste of the Spanish-like sardine garnished with parsley and with a kick of spice. I like the K-Pop Chicken to it like eating the typical chicken empanada but this time the serving is very generous not to mention the savory taste that explodes to your mouth because of the perfect combination of soy sauce, rice wine, sesame oil and fresh basil to the three-cup chicken it is worth a meal for me. Not to mention I enjoyed how it looks like the bamboo charcoaled claypot burn like look that you think the bread is hard and crunchy but seriously it is comfortably soft and delicious. Lastly there’s the Sweet Potato Pot which reminds of the soup on a pot like bread where after enjoying the soup we can actually eat the bread it’s like that. This time it is the sweet potato chunks boiled to attain the softness and the aroma that we will enjoy but I hope they can offer sugar, butter or honey because honestly being a Filipino we do like our sweet potatoes with either of those ingredients.
Other breads included at the Gen 4 were the Ya Ya Eggtart an innovative egg tart that we used to enjoy now infused with desiccated coconut and Gula Melaka, the Spencheece which is a perfect for those who are health buffs they will enjoy the generous serving of spinach and cheese blended to perfection in a soft French bun. There’s also Sesame Baguette that’s good for those who enjoyed it simple butter and bread over coffee or for salad. It is perfect with your salad because we all know baguette compliments with vinaigrette plus it has a hint of the black sesame seed aroma that’s very appetizing. And last is the Black Pearl that’s very chewy and soft because it is made from the black glutinous rice and mocha and I have to admit you will enjoy the last bite of it especially with either a cup of freshly brewed coffee or a hot choco.
All Gen 4 Breads are available in all BreadTalk stores nationwide you can try my recommendations and at the same time try the rest of the breads. We all know how BreadTalk offers their products fresh from the oven which mean we will surely enjoy the freshness and the delicious taste in every bite.
