After the back to back smashing success of A Very Special Love and You Changed My Life both Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz romantic comedy films in 2008 and 2009, Star Cinema officially announced that the third AshLloyd film entitled It Takes A Man and A Woman already earned Php 32.6 M on its first day and still growing. It Takes A Man and A Woman premiered in all cinemas nationwide last Black Saturday (March 30) and until now there are long lines and sold out tickets in different cinemas making the comeback of Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz tandem on the big screen phenomenal once again.
It Takes A Man and A Woman was directed by Cathy Garcia Molina who directed the first two AshLloyd film together with the head writer Carmi Raymundo brings the magical love story of Laida Magtalas and Miggy Montenegro back on the big screen. But this time, coming from the first two romantic comedy films that ensure “kilig”, the third film brings Laida and Miggy a more mature in terms of their personality and outlook in life which also reflects on the two artists playing the characters – Sarah and John Lloyd. The film starts with the question what made them part ways just when we thought they’re the perfect couple that will last forever.
