It’s been years since American Idol has contradicting ideas coming from its judges. The last time viewers saw that it was during the love hate relationship of Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell who always contradicted each other and later they do kiss and make up. But now as American Idol Season 12 kicks off in Star World it is more to a catfight versus Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.
Expect twitter war between the Team Mariah and Team Minaj supporting their idols who are both judges in the American Idol Season 12. The way I see it Mariah being a Diva for decades is more into the technicalities of a singer which includes the diction, breathing and if the contestant reach the high note to sum it all she’s in to the vocal power. Meanwhile, Minaj being a pop singer who became a hit to her followers because of her uniqueness and appearance looks with the impact of a contestant to the show in terms of looks, appeal and the choice of song that will make him or her gain followers. To sum it all Minaj looks at the marketability of a performer on how the singer can be easily get attention and sell his or her self to the bigger population.
Both Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj will surely contribute to the search of the next singing idol in the American Idol Season 12. But whose taste will have that mass appeal will it be coming from the recommendations of Mariah or will it be from Minaj?
