Also I’m taking the opportunity to nominate 3 website which I’ll be including mine (hehehe):
Blog – Personal – Angsawariko.com (ANG SA WARI KO) – My blog is my outlet in terms of my views and opinions on politics, news, media, and advocacy, at the same time my blog that it usually written in Tagalog aims to reach out Filipino readers here in the Philippines and on abroad especially OFWs. Giving the readers the feel of the news, events, products, entertainment and even their personal plights on women issues, health care, political stands, environmental concerns and other advocacies. Ang Sa Wari Ko aims to create an online personal hub for the readers that can relate to his views or may oppose it. The author of this blog once featured on ABS-CBN’s Ako Ang Simula who presents his advocacy on voters registration and voters participation on the 2010 Election. Also the author tries to interview advocates and placed it on the kyte box embedded on the right side of the blog which includes Tony Meloto of Gawad Kalinga, Rafa Lopa of I am Ninoy Movement, Leah Navarro of Black and White Movement, Raymond Ciriaco of PPCRV and Jose Ma. Lorenzo Tan of WWF-Philippines. The idea of personal is by sharing his thought and aspirations to its reader and sharing its opinion regarding issues and news.
Politics – FilipinoVoices.com (Filipino Voices) – FV is a website where political, advocacy and commentary bloggers share their views on different topic, it is the new media of news where members share their views and resolutions on issues concerning the country and the world.
Travel – Byahilo.com (Byahilo) – I’m not the traveling type but checking the website of Enrico Dee aka Byahilo it helps me to discover things and appreciate it. He discusses 3 things that readers would love to read and see on his blogs; 1. Photos, we all love photos especially the one taken from festivals like the Maskarra, Sinulog and Panabengga, the action of the scenes tells the story and the emotion of how the event looks and feels like. 2. The Story, others loves reading the stories on how the author describes the event or the festival, the drama, the action, fun and excitement it’s all there in the blog entry. 3 Culture, as an advocacy blogger who reads travel bloggers I look in the content of the blog that tells the culture the depth and the importance of why festival life this happens every year aside from the parade, the colors and fun, we always ask a simple question “Why?” and we get deeper answers and a good one.
That’s my nominees and it your turn to nominate sites in the DigitalFilipino Web Awards 2009 remember entries will be accepted until October 19.
