Vice Ganda with his film This Guy’s In Love with U, Mare might be surpassing his 2011 film with Star Cinema and Viva Films entitled The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin that has grossed up to Php 331M plus after getting Php 100M ticket sales after one week of showing in cinema. It was announced in The Buzz and also from the Star Cinema ad prom team that This Guy’s In Love with U, Mare already reaches more than Php 100M ticket sales on its first week and they hoping that it will increase in the following days.
This Guy’s In Love with U, Mare is the tandem of three box office comedy actors including Toni Gonzaga, Luis Manzano and Vice Ganda under the direction of the box office director Wenn V. Deramas who was also Vice’s director in Praybeyt Benjamin. The film is still showing in all cinemas nationwide and follows the revenge of Lester (Vice) to his ex-boyfriend Mike (Luis) who left him to marry her fiancé Gemma (Toni).
Lester disguises as a straight man and tried to make Gemma to fall in love with him that he foresees that might jeopardize her relationship with Mike. He succeeded to get the attention of Gemma and made her fall in love with him.
