From being a Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Big Winner in 2006 to numerous lead roles in Sana Maulit Muli, My Girl, My Only Hope, Tayong Dalawa, Kung Tayo’s Magkakalayo and My Binondo Girl, Primetime Princess Kim Chiu has proven her talent in the entertainment industry as an actress, host and dancer. Kim had won numerous awards from PMPC Star Awards for Television, PMPC Star Awards for Movies, Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Anak TV Seal Awards and FAMAS Awards. With this Kim is considered as one of the popular actress in her generation because of her talent.
Now, Kim celebrates another milestone in her showbiz career being the personal choice of the Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos in her latest film under Star Cinema entitled The Healing. The film marks the 50th year of Vilma in the entertainment industry and directed by Chito Roño. The Healing is the very first horror film that Vilma will be doing at the same time her first project with Kim.
According to Kim, it was a wonderful experience to work with Vilma Santos. She learned a lot from her as an actress and as a person. “Ate Vi is so approachable and down-to-earth. She doesn’t have ‘walls’ so everyone feels free to talk her,” shared Kim.
The Healing is a story about the Filipino tradition of going to faith healers for guidance and treatment of ailments. Aside from Kim and Vilma, the horror-suspense film of Star Cinema also stars Janice de Belen, Mark Gil, Martin del Rosario, Allan Paule, Cris Villanueva, Daria Ramirez, Ces Quesada, Ynez Veneracion, Simon Ibarra, Abi Bautista, Joel Torre, Chinggoy Alonso, Mon Confiado, Carmi Martin and Pokwang. It will be showing in all cinemas nationwide beginning July 25, 2012.
