Beginning February 22, catch Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon with Tom Hardy and Chris Pine on a romantic comedy action film entitled This Means War. The film was directed by McG and distributed by 20th Century Fox.
This Means War takes on a two spies Tuck Henson (Hardy) and FDR Foster (Pine), who are co-workers and best friends now on a dispute because of a girl named Lauren Scott (Witherspoon) whom they both dating. With their skills and team, they tried to outwit and outsmart each other in order not to work things out with Lauren.
The film is the first action movie done by Witherspoon and she enjoyed working with Hardy and Pines. “It’s every woman’s fantasy to have two unbelievably hot, sexy guys battling over you,” she says. According to her in terms of action and comedy, she’s doing the comedy part while the two guys are doing the action. Reese also appreciated the two sides of Lauren. “At work, Lauren is the most decisive woman in the world, but in her personal life, she’s very indecisive. I think a lot of people can relate to her feeling of, ‘Am I picking the right guy for me.”
With the McG as the director, moviegoers should expect action, comedy, thrills, chills and sex appeal of super spies and so is Witherspoon and adding a classic special agent feel to make it more exciting. “What’s sexy about that world is it’s life and death; it’s international; and it’s the antithesis of what most people experience in their everyday lives. I think we all want to travel around the world, go to exotic locations, drive fancy cars, fire guns, and be romantically irresistible. We’re having fun with that, and FDR and Tuck are incredibly proficient in that world. But when it comes to affairs of the heart, they’re just like everyone else. Clueless.” McG explains.
But in the end, Witherspoon explains that the role of Lauren is just a woman who is in search for a right guy for her it just happen that it become complicated because the two guys that she was dating were best of friends and worse they’re spies. It will be a twisted love affair and action filled with comedy and excitement that will surely create a buzz whether who will be the right guy for Lauren. Will it be Team Pine for FDR or Team Hardy for Tuck, there’s a poll now at the 20th Century Philippines for those who wanted to vote and share their comments and watch This Means War in all cinemas nationwide beginning February 22.
