After its first week on noontime slot (11:30am), Mundo Man Ay Magunaw transfers to the Kapamilya Gold (2:30PM) right after It’s Showtime beginning February 6, 2012. The teleserye that stars Empress, Ejay Falcon, Nikki Gil, Eula Valdes, Sylvia Sanchez, Tessie Tomas and Allan Paule was loosely based from the movie with the same title that features Susan Roces, Nida Blanca, Alicia Vergel, Dante Rivero, Michael Locsin, Jennifer Sevilla, Sheryl Cruz & Romnick Sarmenta under Seiko Films during 1990. The television adaptation was directed by Jeffrey R. Jeturian and Rechie A. Del Carmen.
In the continuation of Mundo May Ay Magunaw on ABS-CBN, Olivia (Valdes) finally get a pardon after being imprisoned after killing his husband. She returned to her town hoping to get Jenny (Gil) from her mother in law Donya Alicia (Tomas). Unknown to her, her sister Lani (Sanchez) hides her younger daughter Sheryl (Empress) and making her believe that she was already death. As Olivia wanted to reunite her family, Jenny and Sheryl has a conflict to each other after falling in love with person named Nico (Falcon).
