The film Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow that supposed to be a great contender at the awards night was disqualified by the MMFF board due to chance of story. Producer Mother Lily Monteverde questions the last minute decision of the board and asked for explanation where as minor changes in the story was done due to change of characters in the film. According to the reports none of the actors of the said film appeared on the said awarding. But despite of the disqualification claims Maricel Soriano won Best Actress.
Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story won the Best Director and it was Darell dela Cruz who accepts the award. If we recall, Tikoy Aguiluz files complains against the producer of the film and insisted to remove his name from the credits. Now with all the awards including the award that he should be receiving, what will his reaction now?
Here’s the box office result: Enteng ng Ina Mo – 91.8 Million, Ang Panday 2 – 51.5 Million, Segunda Mano – 46.9 Million, Shake Rattle & Roll 13 – 22.7 Million, My HouseHusband (Ikaw Na!) – 20.8 Million, Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story – 7.9 Million and Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow – 4 Million.
Ai Ai delas Alas, John Estrada and Richard Gomez hosted the 2011 MMFF Awards Night and it will be telecast on January 1, 2012. All the Metro Manila Film Festival entries for 2011 will be still showing in all cinemas nationwide on January 2012.

Congratzzz Gov. Er Ejercito
COURTESY OF UNCLE JESSIE EJERCITO, MMFF CHAIRMAN.
Mrs. Monteverde admitted that they changed some parts of the script of Yesterday Today Tomorrow. Direk Tikoy Aguiluz demanded to have his name removed from Asiong Salonga because the producer changed some of the parts of the movie without his consent claiming that it cannot be considered as “his movie”. Both YTT and Asiong violated the same “rule”. Why didn’t the committee disqualified Asing too? Was it because this is an ” EJERCITO ” movie ; Is it because of ” pulitika”? or is it because of the chairman’s stupidity?
Kindly check :

Hi Thespis, dun din ako nagulat with YTT if nadisqualified sila how come Maricel won? So either di fully disqualified ang YTT or simply di nila naayos ang results last minute after iannounced na disqualified ang movie
They disqualified YTT in four categories lang, best screenplay, director, picture , and gatpuno ek ek. Ang nakakaduda nga lang ay si Jessie Ejercito ang chairman ng MMFF at movie naman ni ER Ejercito ang Asiong. Asiong violated the same rule , that’s the reason why Tikoy Aguiluz wanted his name to be removed, but Jessie Ejercito did not disqualify ER Ejercito’s movie in the same categories.
