Pinkberry, the leading frozen yogurt in the US has finally arrived in the Philippines and its first branch is located at the Greenbelt 5 in Makati City. The store was officially opened last December 7 and open from 11am – 12 midnight, Monday – Sunday. It will offer wide range of flavors and toppings that will cater to all lifestyle and ages who enjoys frozen yogurt the way I do.
There are six frozen yogurt flavors to choose on Pinkberry including; the signature Original flavor, a sweet and tart yogurt with a refreshing finish; Pomegranate, a bold and tangy flavor made with 100 percent California-grown pure pomegranate juice; Green Tea, slightly sweet with earthy flavor note; a rich, indulgent Chocolate; Mango, a fruity and light flavor made with authentic Alphonso mango puree for a soothing finish; and Watermelon, a crisp and refreshing flavor perfect for summer.
Aside from the flavors, there is wide range of delicious toppings that every costumer would really love. It includes fresh fruits, nuts and almonds, organic gummy bears, 100% pure pomegranate and honey, premium Belgian chocolate shavings and more.
There are five options on how to buy the Pinkberry frozen yogurt;
- Cone (3 .oz) – P115 in any flavor and P165 with 2 toppings. It is equivalent to 110-130 yogurt calories.
- Small Cup (3 .oz) – P100 in any flavor and P155 with 2 toppings. It is equivalent to 90-110 yogurt calories.
- Medium Cup (5 .oz) – P135 in any flavor and P220 with 4 toppings. It is equivalent to 140-180 yogurt calories.
- Large Cup (8 .oz) – P170 in any flavor and P265 with 6 toppings. It is equivalent to 230-290 yogurt calories.
- Take Home Pint (25 .oz) – P515 in any flavor. For toppings costumer can purchase a cup of standard toppings for P120 or luxe toppings that cost P160/cup. There’s a thermal bag (Chilly Bliss Bag) available that cost for only P400 and it is reusable. This is for those who lives or works far from the store.
The Pinkberry – Greenbelt 5 maintains the look and ambiance of the rest of the Pinkberry stores including New York and Moscow. It has the white and green theme that gives a relaxing feeling including the pebble designed floor. I love the patterned chairs and the wide space inside the store.
I had the chance to create my own yogurt. I called it Pome-Tea, which is a fusion of green tea and pomegranate yogurt topped with fresh blueberry and kiwi slices drizzled with pomegranate puree. It gives that comforting taste that green tea gives with that exciting kick of pomegranate that is best for cooling down heat or simply relaxing from a long walk at the mall with your friends and family.
They have promos on going; 1. complete the Pinkberry Card with 10 stamps and get free 1 small Pinkberry yogurt with two toppings, and 2. Join their promo by filling up the form and drop at the promo box and if you’re lucky Pinkberry will treat 15 of your friends with small Pinkberry yogurt with two toppings.
Ron Graves, Pinkberry CEO awarded the licensed to Menchu Lopez, Brand President, Swirly Goodness Inc, to be the authorized Philippine licensee of Pinkberry. The Greenbelt 5 Mall was the first site where Pinkberry store was built and they are planning to expand in other areas within Metro Manila. Also the Philippines is first Asian country that franchises Pinkberry.
