Get ready for a thrilling journey into a retro-futuristic 1990s world with The Electric State, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo (Avengers: Endgame). Starring Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things, Enola Holmes, Damsel), Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World), and Stanley Tucci (The Hunger Games, Spotlight), this highly anticipated Netflix original launches globally on March 14, 2025.
Millie Bobby Brown stars as Michelle, an orphaned teenager in a society where sentient robots—once peaceful companions to humans—now live in exile after a failed uprising. Michelle’s world is turned upside down when Cosmo, a mysterious robot, arrives one night with a shocking revelation: he’s controlled by Christopher, Michelle’s genius younger brother, whom she believed was dead.
Determined to reunite with Christopher, Michelle embarks on a daring journey across the American Southwest with Cosmo. Along the way, she teams up with Keats (Chris Pratt), a smuggler with a sharp wit, and his wisecracking robot companion, Herman (voiced by Anthony Mackie). Together, they venture into the Exclusion Zone, a desolate area inhabited by robots, uncovering unexpected allies and sinister truths about Christopher’s disappearance.
The star-studded cast also includes Academy Award winner Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito, Woody Norman, and Academy Award nominee Stanley Tucci. Additional voice performances feature Woody Harrelson, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, and Alan Tudyk.
Adapted from Simon Stålenhag’s acclaimed graphic novel, The Electric State features a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely (Avengers: Endgame, Captain America series).
Mark your calendars for March 14—The Electric State is a cinematic adventure you won’t want to miss, streaming exclusively on Netflix.
