SM, through the SM Store, recently activated 100 volunteer teams across its retail network as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility Day. This effort highlights SM’s dedication to volunteerism and community service, involving employees to create meaningful change in the lives of those in need.
Seventy-five teams from the SM Store and 25 teams from various Retail Affiliates participated in activities designed to support local communities. The initiative benefited over 100 recipients, including public schools supported by the SM Foundation, UNICEF Philippines, World Vision, Good Neighbors Philippines, and other local organizations. Volunteers distributed essential items such as school supplies, shoes, hygiene kits, and food packs.
SM Retail has a history of involving employees in impactful social responsibility initiatives focused on aiding underprivileged Filipino students. Activities have included reading sessions, classroom painting, and community outreach. The company continues to empower communities and support Filipino youth through active employee volunteerism.
