The team of Ogie Alcasid, Kim Chiu, Lassy, and MC Muah claimed the grand champion title in the Magpasikat competition on It’s Showtime with a performance emphasizing the importance of taking time to rest and breathe. Their heartfelt message resonated with the judges, earning them the highest score.
This win marks Kim’s third Magpasikat championship. Reflecting on their success, Kim shared that she had not expected to win and was simply grateful to have performed well with her team despite the challenges they faced. “Hindi namin inexpect kasi sabi namin hashtag acceptance bahala na basta nagawa namin yung prod namin. Malaking bonus na lang manalo,” she said, expressing her gratitude.
Ogie, who secured his first Magpasikat win, expressed his pride in his teammates and the staff. He was especially grateful for the audience’s positive reception of their message. “I’m just proud of all of them lalo na sa staff namin kasi binuhos talaga namin. We left it on the floor and let our works speak for ourselves. Masaya kami kapag nababasa namin ung comments na naintindihan nila yung gusto namin sabihin. More than anything else yung makuha nila yung message namin na ‘tigil, kalma, pahinga’ eh napaka-importante talaga,” he explained.
In addition to the team’s inspiring message of “tigil, kalma, pahinga,” viewers were captivated by Kim’s daring trapeze stunts, Ogie’s piano performance on a rotating platform, and MC and Lassy’s impressive acrobatics. The team won P300,000, which they will donate to typhoon Kristine victims through the Angat Buhay foundation.
The second-place team, consisting of Jhong Hilario, Jackie Gonzaga, and Cianne Dominguez, highlighted the importance of mental health and won P200,000 for their chosen charity. In third place, Anne Curtis, Jugs Jugueta, and Teddy Corpuz took home ₱100,000 with a performance reminiscing on the show’s 15 years. Vice Ganda’s team, focusing on hope, and Vhong Navarro’s team, promoting kindness, each received P50,000 for their charities.
