Happening on April 28 at the Incheon Paradise City and will be broadcast live in South Korea by JTBC (Joongang Tongyang Broadcasting Company) and internationally via TikTok. Baeksang Arts Awards is organized by Ilgan Sports and JTBC Plus to recognize excellence film, television, and theater by rigorous screening by 60 professional reviewers, panel of judges from the industry and group of experts representing TV, film, and theater.
This year’s Baeksang Arts Awards front runners for television are Extraordinary Attorney Woo and The Glory having the most numbers of nominations.
Extraordinary Attorney Woo has 10 nominations including:
- Best Drama
- Best Director: Yoo In-shik
- Best Actress: Park Eun-bin
- Best Supporting Actor: Kang Ki-young
- Best New Actor: Joo Jong-hyuk
- Best New Actress: Joo Hyun-young and Ha Yoon-kyung
- Best Screenplay: Moon Ji-won
- Technical Awards: Noh Young-sim (Music) and Hwang Jin-hye (Visual Effects)
Meanwhile, The Glory has 9 nominations including:
- Best Drama
- Best Actress: Song Hye-kyo
- Best Supporting Actor: Park Sung-hoon
- Best Supporting Actress: Yeom Hye-ran and Lim Ji-yeon
- Best New Actor: Kim Gun-woo
- Best New Actress: Kim Hieora
- Best Screenplay: Kim Eun-sook
- Technical Awards: Jang Jong-kyung (Cinematography)
Both streamed internationally via Netflix, while Extraordinary Attorney Woo was also aired in the paid television network ENA in South Korea.
