After the success of Tale Of The Nine-Tailed in 2020, Lee Dong Wook with Kim Bum will be reprising their roles as Lee Yeon and Lee Rang, respectively, for the new season of the series now entitled Tale Of The Nine-Tailed 1938. Joining them in the series are Kim So Yeon (The Penthouse: War In Life, All About Eve) and Ryu Kyung Soo (Itaewon Class, Confession).
Coming from season 1 where Lee Yeon, a mythical nine-tailed fox, who reunited with his one true love Nam Ji Ah (Jo Bo Ah) and reconciled with his brother Lee Rang. Lee Yeon takes another journey where he will be dragged in 1938 where he needs to face familiar faces including his brother where pain and anger are still fresh in his heart and mind along with Ryu Hong-Joo (Kim So Yeon) and Cheon Mu-Young (Ryoo Kyung-Soo).
In the poster that TVN recently released poster, they give a hint of what to expect in the journey of Lee Dong Wook’s character. It showed Lee Yeon in the middle of an unfamiliar street with a Japanese signboard that says, “I and the world I belong to are all becoming distorted,” with a top background of modern buildings upside down.
Also joining the series are Kang Na-Eon (Crash Course in Romance, Blind) and Kim Ju-Young (Mr. Queen, Memories of the Alhambra).
Tale Of The Nine-Tailed 1938 will be airing on TVN every Saturday and Sunday starting May 6 at 9:20 p.m. KST replacing “Pandora: Beneath the Paradise” in the said timeslot. No confirmation yet witch streaming app the Korean series will be available.
