After the phenomenal success of the Korean series “Crash Landing On You” on Netflix, there are lots of opportunities that opened for the Korean superstar Hyun Bin. His character name Ri Jeong-hyeok or simply Captain Ri became a household name for the KDrama fans. He is recently announced as the newest brand ambassador of Smart Communications.

Hyun Bin or born with the name Kim Tae-pyung started his career as an actor in 2003. His first successful Korean drama is My Lovely Sam Soon in 2005 with Kim Sun-a. His other shows include “Secret Garden,” “Hyde Jekyll, Me “and his first Netflix acquired series “Memories of the Alhambra”.
Lastly, the series that put him on top, “Crash Landing On You” also stars Son Ye-jin, Kim Jung-hyun and Seo Ji-hye. It is a story of two star crossed lovers, South Korean Chaebol heiress falling in love with a member of the North Korean elite.
