It is truly heartbreaking for Filipina singer Alisah Bonaobra to finally end her journey on The X Factor UK S14. She was eliminated at the Judges’ House part of the reality singing competition whereas their judge assigned Sharon Osbourne decided to have Grace Devies in the final 3 which eliminate Alisah. Grace together with Holly Tandy and Rai-Elle Williams are moving to the live show. Meanwhile, Deanna Mussington and Georgina Panton are going home with Alisah.
During the Judges’ House for the Girls, Sharon was accompanied by Jack and Kelly Osbourne at the San Francisco to screen the 6 contestants who are fresh from the emotional six-chair challenge. Alisah performed Sam Smith’s Lay Me Down.
Sharon shared to Kelly and Jack Alisah’s journey in the competition especially during the six-chair challenge. Kelly shared that Alisah’s voice was great but there was missing in her. Sharon said that she sings mostly Disneys and Whitney Houston songs that it is not always fit in the show, which they have themes every week.
During the six-chair challenge, it was Grace who snatched the chair of Alisah and this time she also snatched the chance of Alisah to be part of the Final 3.
Meanwhile in Nicole Scherzinger’s Overs team, Kevin Davy White, Tracy Leanne Jefford and Matt Linnen in the live show and decided to send home Talia Dean, Slavko Kalezić, and Berget Lewis. Nicole’s Judges House was in South Africa and her screening process was assisted by Stormzy, an English grime and hip hop artist.
With Alisah’s elimination in the competition ends the hope to have Filipino singer to win The X Factor UK. 4th Impact was the last Filipino group who made in the live show 2 years ago, while Ivy Grace Paredes didn’t made it to the Judges’ House due to working visa problem last year. But with Dermot O’Leary statement that anything can happen, are we expecting a wildcard in this season that will favor Alisah again?
Other Filipinos who joined season 14 of The X Factor UK includes JBK, Gaga Lord, Elyza V and Loverine Fermino. The X Factor UK airs on Southeast Asia including the Philippines via RTL CBS Entertainment. It is on Skycable channel 53 and 196.
