Jona Marie Soquite, the Tabing Ilog Sweetheart of Davao is awarded as the The Voice Teens Grand Champion after getting the percentage of 44.78% from the combined votes of text and online votes. Jona is under the team of Sarah Geronimo who recently decided to return in The Voice after one season hiatus in the Kids Edition. The winner will be bringing home fashion package, a business package, a dental service package, P1 million cash, P1 million worth of trust fund, P2 million life insurance plan, and a brand new house and lot.
Meanwhile her fellow finalists; Isabela Vinzon from the team of Bamboo gained 22.42% followed by Mica Becerro from Lea Salonga’s team with 17.79%. Lastly, Sharon Cuneta’s Jeremy Glinoga earned 15.01%.
During the two days finals of The Voice Teens, Jona performed Better Days with her coach Sarah. Followed by Just Dance in the upbeat round and lastly in the ballad song she performed I Believe I Can Fly.
In the winning coach tally, with Jona is now Sarah’s third win. Sarah’s first is Lyca Gairanod in The Voice Kids and Jason Dy of The Voice of the Philippines Season 2. Meanwhile Lea has two winning contenders, Mitoy Yonting in The Voice of the Philippines Season 1 and Joshua Oliveros of The Voice Kids Season 3. Bamboo has only one winning contender and that is Elha Nympha of The Voice Kids Season 2. Sharon who entered The Voice Kids Season 3 has no winning contender yet similar to apl.de.ap who is on hiatus since The Voice of the Philippines Season 2.
