President Rodrigo Duterte has officially signed Proclamation 269 last July 17, declaring ten regular holidays and eight special non-working days in 2018. Malacanang released the list on July 19 with details that declaration of national holidays for the observance of Eid’l Fitr and Eidul Adha shall be issued after their approximate dates have been determined in accordance with the Islamic calendar.
Duterte has also ordered the Department of Labor and Employment to disseminate the implementing guidelines in connection with the holidays.
