The Superstar Nora Aunor is back in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) with a family-centered film tested by tragedy and it’s based on real story entitled Kabisera. Directed by Arturo San Agustin and Real Florido under the production of Silver Story Entertainment and Fire Starters Manila Production Co., Ricky Davao, JC De Vera, Jason Abalos and RJ Agustin join Nora in a hard-hitting story that tackles extrajudicial killings and injustices.
The film Kabisera that pertains to a seat in the dinning area for the head of the house follows the journey of a mother played by Nora on how she will slowly see her family fall apart because of incident. And how she will hold them together even it takes her to take the responsibility of being in the “Kabisera”.
In the bloggers conference, Florido shared that the film was based from a real story and the film should be their entry last year in the MMFF but they didn’t make it to the cut but they still want to pursue the film and luckily they finally entered this year’s festival.
Kabisera is one of the 8 MMFF entries that will be shown in all cinemas nationwide beginning Christmas Day. The awards night will happen on December 29. With Aunor’s intense portrayal she will surely have an edge of getting another best actress trophy.
Aunor’s last film in MMFF was Thy Womb with Brillante Mendoza in 2012 where won Best Actress and Mendoza as Best Director.
