From August 24 to September 11, Dulaang University ng Pilipinas (DUP) will be staging the Filipino version of William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors at the Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero Theater, 2nd floor Palma Hall, University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City. This is to commemorate the Shakespeare’s 400th death anniversary. Guelan Varela-Luarca translated the farce.
The Filipino version entitled Ang Katatawanan Ng Kalituhan is a cleverly crafted tale of mistaken identities, loves lost and found, families gone astray and made whole again.
