Opening its Season 2, the first-ever sit-com on Philippine digital TV Funny Ka Pare Ko that stars Karla Estrada and Bayani Agbayani ni ABS-CBN TV Plus’ CineMo, will be introducing new members of the family including the real life couple Tommy Esguerra and Miho Nishida or popularly known as ToMiho of Pinoy Big Brother 737. The sitcom still focuses on making laughter the best solution to dealing with daily issues about the Filipino family and community aside from the good news that Delyon family of Bigboy (Bayani Agbayani) and Carla (Karla Estrada) who have finally paid off their P200,000 debt.
Being debt-free, the couple now dreams of renovating their humble eatery to transform it into a bigger food and performance joint, but their plans are put on hold to save Bigboy’s mother-in-law, Momshie (Christina Medina), from her big financial troubles when her networking venture called PERAmid that fooled a lot of people to invest with the promise of easy money, suffers a misfortune. Now, it’s up to Bigboy and Carla to help Momshie solve her money problems.
Meanwhile, ToMiho will be entering the show as Neneng (Miho), Nonong’s (Jason Gainza) sister, and Tom (Tommy), Pags’ (Alora Sasam) half-brother, who will brave their romance despite the language barrier. Miho is very excited to work with the cast of Funny Ka Pare Ko where she revealed that she’s an avid fan of the weekend show.
Funny Ka Pare Ko is exclusively available in CineMO, a channel available in ABS-CBN TV Plus that airs every Sunday at 9PM.
