The hills are alive with the sound of music and so is the Auditorium of Dominican School Manila on May 12 as the EM Productions of UST College of Education will be staging the Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II’s “The Sound of Music”. The musical will feature familiar songs including “Edelweiss”, “My Favorite Things”, “Climb Ev’ry Mountain”, “Do-Re-Mi” and”The Sound of Music” itself. Set in Austria on the eve of the Anschluss in 1938, the musical tells the story of Maria, who takes a job as governess to a large family while she decides whether to become a nun.
The EM Productions stages “The Sound of Music” is directed by Patrick Celso. Catch it on May 12 10am and re-run at 2pm at the Dominican School Manila Auditorium.
