The entertainment industry mourns in the death of one of its pillar and the reason behind the big names in the showbiz industry, German Molina Morena or popularly known as Kuya Germs with the title Master Showman because of his popular TV shows GMA Supershow and That’s Entertainment that aired in GMA Network. He helped so many aspiring artists that became big stars now including Francis Magalona, Ruffa Gutierrez, Aiko Melendez, Carmina Villaroel, Billy Crawford, Ian Veneracion, Iza Calzado, Judy Ann Santos, Gladys Reyes, Janno Gibbs, Piolo Pascual, Lea Salonga, Vina Morales, Donita Rose and many more.
Kuya Germs died around 3:20am, January 8, 2015 due to cardiac arrest as reported by his nephew and one of the co-hosts of Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman, John Nite.
He started in the industry as a janitor and curtain raiser in the Clover Theater. His first break was a role as Jesus Christ for the Grand Opera House. He later went on to pursue a career as a comedian of the bodabil stage and the post-war screen. He entered Sampaguita Pictures as comedian and joined Dolphy, Gloria Romero and Panchito.
Aside from helping aspiring stars he also founded the Eastwood City Walk of Fame in Quezon City, Philippines in 2005 patterned to the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Hollywood, California to give recognition to the celebrities who contributed in the colorful world of the entertainment industry.
