In line with the “UP Diliman Month 2016: Panahon ng Luwalhati”, Dulaang UP stages a Filipino adaptation of Rody Vera of Henrik Ibsen’s “Peer Gynt” entitled Tisoy Brown: Hari ng Wala this February in at the Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero Theater, 2nd floor, Palma Hall, University of the Philippines Diliman. The play written by Rody Vera will follow the story Tisoy Brown as he embarks to a journey of life filled with painful reality with a mix of surrealism in order to know the truth about his identity.
Tisoy Brown will be played alternately by Neil Ryan Sese and Peewee O’Hara. Joining them are Delphine Buencamino, Melvin Lee, Skyzx Labastilla, Bong Cabrera, Wenah Nagales, Martha Comia, Tarek El Tayech, Francis Matheu, Brian Tibayan, Steven Conde, Arvin Trinidad, Eshei Mesina, Sheryll Ceasico, Paul Cedrick Juan and the Dulaang UP Ensemble.
DUP’s Tisoy Brown: Hari ng Wala is directed by Jose Estrella. The artistic team include Sir Anril Tiatco, Bryan Viray, Jem Javier, Juan Ysmael Mendoza and Paulo Amascual (Dramaturgy), Lex Marcos and Io Balanon (Set Design), Barbara Tan-Tiongco (Lighting Design), Carlo Pagunaling and Leeroy New (Costume Design), Teresa Barrozo and Ricardo Lorenzo (Sound Design), JM Cabling (Movement Design), and Sigmund Pecho (Puppetry ).
