After Jaime Herrel won the crown of Miss Earth in 2014, she’s gratefully to pass it to hew fellow Filipina Angelia Ong who won Miss Earth 2015 in Marx Halle in Vienna, Austria. Ong was 24-year-old marketing management student at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in Manila that impresses the judges with her answer promoting her advocacy called We Will Be Cause We Can. This is in connection with the question of Climate Change, which according to her awareness is the first step in answering the problem at the same time educating the people will help them achieve the reform they want.
Aside from Ong, other candidates who won the titles include Miss Earth Fire: Thiessa Sickert of Brazil, Miss Earth Water: Brittany Payne of USA and Miss Earth Air: Dayanna Grageda of Australia.
The first Filipina who won the Miss Earth crown was Karla Henry in 2008.
