On the first day of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2015, there was an alleged ticket swapping incident raised by the fans of Alden Richards and Maine Medoza (Yaya Dub) or popularly known as the AlDub that a fan who supposed to be watching Pabebe Love that stars their idols including Vic Sotto and Ai Ai delas Alas had her ticket swapped with the rival movie of Vice Ganda and Coco Martin entitled Beauty and the Bestie. The incident trended on the Twitter with the keyword No Ticket Swapping that later supported by the My Bebe Love director Joey Reyes. The said incident happened in an SM Cinema according to the AlDub fans.
Earlier today the committee of Metro Manila Film Festival issued an statement concerning the incident and they denied said allegation of ticket swapping. In the statement they posted in their official page (Metro Manila Film Festival Official). The statement says.
In the height of the allegation of the ticket swapping a photo showing the original Instagram post of a person who watched Beauty and the Bestie and the alleged AlDub fan who copied the photo and saying that she is watching the My Bebe Love movie but with the wrong ticket.
With the issue of ticket swapping where MMFF already said their statement and the brewing rivalry of the two movies fighting for the number 1 spot as the highest earner of the year how this kind of issue coming from the fans will affect a healthy competition?
Other MMFF entries include Walang Forever, Haunted Mansion, Nilalang, All You Need Is Pag-ibig, Honor Thy Father and Buy Now, Die Later.
