It is official, the Representatives from Camarines Sur’s Third District Leni Robredo the wife of the former Department of the Interior and Local Governmentof secretary Jesse Robredo will be Mar Roxas’ running mate on the 2016 election. She will be Liberal Party’s Vice President, while Mar will be President.
Leni is one of the possible candidates that Mar and LP choose including Governor Vilma Santos and Senator Grace Poe who is now a candidate for president on the election. According to Leni she remember her husband Jesse who gave his time in serving the Filipino people which is her inspiration. She said that it was long process that the think of accepting the nomination and thinking about serving the Filipino people and her husband she will accept the challenge.
Up to date, Leni will be competing with Chiz Escudero, Poe’s Vice President and Peter Alan Cayetano who announced his interest to run while waiting for Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duderte to run as president. Vice President Jejomar Binay has not yet announced his running mate but popular names include Senators Bongbong Marcos and Gringgo Honnasan.
