After the all-girl group 4th Power making through the first round auditions on The X Factor UK, two more Filipinas are making their way in the competition after getting yeses from the judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora. The two Filipinas are mommies namely Jenessa Gill, a 35-year old mother from Manchester, and Neneth Lyons, 37-year old mommy from Chelmsford.
Jenessa gave a dance number for her audition piece with Shakira’s Hips Don’t Lie. She even climbed on to Simon’s lap and gave him a kiss. Orly Murrs, the host of the show jokingly say that The X Factor UK is a family show. Jenessa’s performance left Rita speechless and Cheryl wanting to see her again in the next round. Meanwhile, Neneth gave an emotional performance of Barbra Streisand’s Somewhere. The judges gave her a standing ovation and Simon describing her as a brilliant singer. Cheryl called her performance “spellbinding” and “stunning.”
Both Jenessa Gill and Neneth Lyons move forward to the Bootcamp round of the competition.
