In an article released by the Philippine Star last October 2014, there was a report given by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Philippines is one of the developing countries that has high level of obesity aside from the under nutrition. Because of 2 things; less activity and consuming of too much processed food. And I am guilty with the two reasons. With my sedentary type of work that only requires less activity, I rarely do exercise because my time at work and other events. Aside from that being out from the house for more than 10 hours I end up eating to much processed food especially when cravings strike I end up overeating that really contributes to my weight gain.
I have to admit it my current weight is 218 lbs. and my height is 5’7. The ideal weight for my height is between 121 to 158 lbs. I am 60 lbs. heavier; in short I fall in the obese category. Right now I am becoming active little by little at the same time monitoring my meals. And honestly, I am not a fan of any surgical process that will make me go under the knife. That’s why I go with the natural process and that’s it trying the Ideal Protein.
We all love rice especially the freshly cooked white long grains perfectly match with our favorite dishes like Adobo and Kare-Kare, which both are my personal favorite. But too much intake of rice can result of too much carbohydrates in our body. And to much of it can result to weight gain aside from eating fatty and salty food. The Ideal Protein, which is available in Diana Stalder cuts down carbohydrates and focus more on the energy giving protein at the same time eating large amount of vegetables especially the green leafy ones that will serve as rice substitution. When we say cutting down to carbohydrates it means cutting down from the rice, breads, potato and others.
The Ideal Protein will help us to be discipline with our food intake, from the time of eating to the right measurement. In every Ideal Protein boxes it contains 7 days packed of your breakfast, snacks and dinner. Your lunch will base on the guide that is included in the box. It also contains vitamins and handbook that will help you know kind of food you can consume and what food you should avoid.
As I start my Ideal Protein journey, I hope I can lose weight after a week. I am not expecting bigger number but I’m crossing my finger on better number where I can kickstart with my determination to lose weight for a healthy living. Honestly I do experience the problem that most obese Filipinos are encountering the potbelly, short of breath after long walk or using the stairs and excessive sweating. After the 7 days challenge, I will share my experience and the update on my weight.
