Before the must-awaited boxing fight of Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr., another undercard fight Leo ‘El Terremoto’ Santa Cruz and Jose Cayetano for the title Super Bantamweight World Champion. Both Mexican boxer, Santa Cruz has the advantage with his long reach as he throws strong punches to Cayetano.
From the first rounds of their boxing fight, Santa Cruz literally bouncing Cayetano’s head on the ropes. Santa Cruz aggressively pushing those strong punches against his fellow Mexican boxer. Santa Cruz is in white and blue gloves while Cayetano on black.
In the second half of the boxing fight, Cayetano starting to throw punches to Santa Cruz even he was pushed in the corner by Santa Cruz’ punches. Santa Cruz maintains his offensive status throughout the fight as Cayetano remains on the defense.
Santa Cruz remain the winner of WBO Featherweight Championship title via unanimous. It was reported Cayetano was only notified to join the fight on a short notice but he keeps fighting until the last round.
Retaining his WBO Featherweight Championship title, Santa Cruz hopes will be getting more fights in the future with the help of Mayweather.
They are included in the pre-boxing fight of Manny Pacquaio and Floyd Mayweather Jr. as undercards at the MGM Grand Arena. Among the undercards only them and WBO Featherweight Champion Vasyl Lomachenko VS Gamalier Rodriguez were televised. Other undercards included but untelevised include (Chris ‘Sweet’ Pearson VS Said El Harrak for Super Welterweight title, Jesse Hart VS Mike Jimenez for Super Middleweight title, Andrew ‘The Beast’ Tabiti VS Anthony Caputo Smith for Cruiserweight title and for the Super Welterweight title is Brad Solomon VS Adrian Rene Granados.
