As a heavy user in terms of my daily use of smartphone, there are four things I usually look before getting a new mobile phone. The four things include the memory or ram, the camera, the screen size that includes the resolution of the display and lastly, the price or affordability. And ASUS brings another smartphone to answer those questions after the success of the first generation Zenfone here in the Philippines and other Southeast Asia countries. They are bringing the Zenfone 2 the world’s first smartphone with 4GB RAM. Let’s answer the question one by one.
First, Zenfone 2 being the first smartphone with 4GB RAM in the world, it offers a seamless navigation throughout the device from opening the applications, playing games, connecting to the internet, checking emails and voice and text messaging with no logs or slowing down. It is because of the 4GB memory that will let the device owners to enjoy multitasking without experiencing hanging or logs and app shutting down. It is also because of the 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 Quad Core Processor that ensures apps will work smoothly. And in terms of storage, the Zenfone 2 comes with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB internal storage. It also has external microSD card slot for those who wanted to add more storage up to 64GB.
We all love taking photos and my primary camera is my mobile phone instead of my bulky DSLR or the not so versatile action camera. With our mobile devices we can easily capture special moments and share it to our social media like Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. The Zenfone 2 has a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED (dual tone) flash and 5MP front camera. The rear camera offers auto and manual options. It also has camera features like GIF Animation, Panorama, Smart Remove, Time Lapse, Super Resolution, Night Mode and more. Asus also offers affordable camera accessories including Lolliflush for lighting purposes for selfies that only cost Php 485 and the Zenflash for low-light that only cost Php 995.
Coming from smartphones with 5 inches in terms of size, not to mention I have big fingers I find it comfortable with bigger smartphones that has big display and dimensions. The Zenfone 2 has a 5.5-inch, 1920 x 1080 (Full HD), 403ppi IPS Display with Gorilla® Glass 3 where you can enjoy clear and crisp display. Aside from that it has a brushed-metal finish back cover and perfectly curved that it easy to grip. Not to mention I find smartphones with curve edges beautiful and elegant.
Lastly, in terms of the prices being a smartphone with 4GB RAM including the internal memory and the stylish design we always thing it can be expensive. But not the Zenfone 2 whereas the 64GB model with 4GB RAM only cost Php 14, 995, and the 32GB model with 4GB RAM cost Php 13, 995. Meanwhile, the 2GB RAM model that has 16GB storage only cost Php 9, 995. But for those who wanted something smaller in terms of display and more affordable, the Zenfone 2 has a 5-inch model with 2GB RAM and 16 GB storage for only Php 7,995. All models have LTE mobile internet connection aside from the normal 3G and HSPA+. All models are running in Android Lollipop 5.0 with Asus ZenUI interface. It also has 3000mAh lithium-polymer battery that cannot be removed expect for the 5-inch ZE500CL model that has 2500mAh lithium-polymer removable battery. And for those who wanted to add more personality on their Zenfone 2, ASUS releases View Flip Cover Deluxe for only Php 995 and back cases that includes the Illusion (texture focus designs) series and Fusion (two-tone designs) series.
With the 4 guidelines I mentioned, ASUS Zenfone 2 can be one of the best option for smartphone users who are looking for compact and power features in a reasonable prices. The Zenfone 2 is available in all the authorizes dealers nationwide.
