Without any objection from the prosecution side, Senator Bong Revilla was allowed by the Sandiganbayan First Division to visit his son, Cavite Vice-Governor Jolo Revilla, at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center today (March 3). After the short hearing, First Division chairman Justice Efren dela Cruz gave the decision to authorized Revilla Revilla to leave his detention cell at the Philippine National Police (PNP) custodial center from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
During the hearing the prosecution didn’t object and gave the court the decision regarding this matter whereas the Office of the Special Prosecutor director Joefferson Toribio said that the said situation is “extraordinary” and “unusual”.
Jolo’s vital signs are already stable there is still internal bleeding where they already extracted 700 cc of blood. He was rushed to the hospital last Saturday after being shot by a government issued gun which reports says that it was self-inflicted after the manager of Congresswoman Lani Mercado, the mother of Jolo. Lolit Solis said that the vice governor is undergoing emotional problem that involves his dad being arrested and detained.
This was cleared by the spokesperson of the Revilla family Attorney Raymond Fortun saying that it was an accident that Jolo while cleaning the gun accidentally pulled the trigger and host himself. With that statement, Solis is firm with her statement that Jolo who idolizes his father is facing some problem and also he thanked the actress Jodi Sta. Maria who was there beside Jolo when she was rushed to the hospital.
